![]() ![]() The Barbeque Shrimp was neither conducive, for sharing, or, a starter. Three starters, selected for sharing and tasting, were ordered for the table and arrived soon after the beverages. How was it corrected? With a glass of ice and a glass of club soda! My radar was now way up. ![]() My drink was rather straight forward … a white wine spritzer however, our server returned with a just a glass of wine. ![]() After some time, the server took our food and beverage order. Two other finalists were already seated at a hightop when I arrived. I was warmly greeted at the hostess station and directed to the right side of the restaurant into an imposing area that provided seating at the bar, or at one of the many gleaming wood high tops. Though I knew the other invitees by name and activity on Unilocal I had not met them prior to the dinner. The place, date and time was set by Hanna. The premise was straight forward … Along with four other Unilocal Elite Finalists nominated for the Unilocalie 2015 Writer Award, I was given an opportunity to reach out to Hanna Raskin, Food Editor of the Post and Courier, to provide my thoughts on the Charleston Unilocal culture, the subject of an upcoming article in the Wednesday Food Section of the Newspaper. ![]()
